Swim Workout 09/17/13

Today’s Practice will be all about Breathing.

Take note of what you have learned the past week and continue applying the concepts when incorporating breathing. Proper breathing creates balance in the stroke and in the body helping to maintain forward momentum and prevent injuries. Proper breathing will allow you to not miss a beat in the rhythm of your strokes. Keep applying the low profile breathing rule: One eye and One ear stay in the water when taking a breath. Being able to do this, and streamline, as well as maintain balance will involve having to hold your breath for longer amounts of time and require less air to maintain the same muscle strength.

Essentially, get ready to hold your breath!
